I’ve spent two decades writing in Pascal. I started with Delphi 6 and worked my way through to Delphi XE2. In more recent years, I moved to Lazarus and Free Pascal, which is now my main environment. That means I’m equally at home in the older Delphi codebases many companies are still quietly running and in the modern Lazarus toolchain.
I’m not here to talk you into throwing your software away and rewriting it in some “more modern” language. A rewrite can be appropriate, but it is often slow, expensive, and risky. If your business depends on an application that already works, it is unlikely to be the right answer. What I offer is the opposite: keeping your existing code healthy. I can fix bugs, add the features you need, improve performance, and make sure it keeps running.

Among my private projects, one in particular stands out: a high-performance automation tool that handled millions of dollars in online purchases. This software had to be quick and reliable under intense pressure. Building it taught me a lot about writing Pascal code that holds up under real-world load.
