Multibit is a Bitcoin wallet that was released in 2011 and later abandoned in 2017. It was popular during the 2010s and, because of that, many people still own Multibit wallets as of today.
If you are looking to open a Multibit wallet, you will need to download a copy of the software. You will need to determine if your wallet is either a Multibit Classic wallet or a Multibit HD wallet, as these require two different software.

While its official website doesn&rsquo;t exist anymore, you can still find original copies of Multibit HD on GitHub, a platform where programmers host and collaborate on software source code.

The Ethereum Wallet and the Mist Browser were the original desktop applications developed to allow users to manage their ETH and interact with the Ethereum network. While these projects have been officially discontinued, many people still possess old wallet files that may require these applications in order to open them.
Downloading legacy software carries inherent security risks for your assets. At a minimum, you should scan any file you download using a service like VirusTotal and only run it on a computer that is disconnected from the Internet.

These cards were some of the first physical Bitcoin (BTC) collectibles ever created, predating even the most iconic physical artifacts known today, such as Casascius Coins. Created by Douglas Feigelson in 2011, Bitbills had a brief production run that ceased in 2012. Because they are no longer in circulation, they have become incredibly rare and are highly sought-after by collectors.

How Can We Use the Last Word of a BIP39 Seed Phrase to Recover Lost Bitcoins?

If you have noted a BIP39 seed phrase, but one word is missing or unclear, it can still be recovered. One way to go about it is to use a software like BTCRecover to automatically try all 2,048 entries in the BIP39 wordlist. However, you must know one of your Bitcoin addresses for such a software to work properly. Another option is to manually enter each of the 2,048 possible seed phrases into your wallet software and check if any of them leads to your Bitcoins.

If you are learning Haitian Creole, you may have searched the Internet for a dictionary to look up words you don&rsquo;t know. While a few of them are available, they tend to be incomplete or outdated. Thankfully, I came across an excellent dictionary made by the now-defunct Bryant C. Freeman from the University of Kansas. The last edition was published in the beginning of the 2010s and is available for free on the Internet.

On October 24, 2017, a hard fork happened on Bitcoin&rsquo;s blockchain, and as a result, Bitcoin Gold was born.
A hard fork occurs when the rules for a given cryptocurrency are changed, but a significant portion of its users don&rsquo;t agree with them. In other words, some users stick to the old rules while others agree to play by the new ones. When that happens, a new coin is created from the original cryptocurrency.

<p>Bitcoin Seed Phrase Recoverer is a tool for people who are missing one word (and only one word) in their BIP39 seed phrase.
It works by taking advantage of the fact that the last word of a BIP39 seed phrase serves as a checksum: thus, it can be
used to reduce the number of seed phrases you have to try in your wallet software to gain back access to your Bitcoins.</p>

Electrum is one of the oldest and most popular wallet software that is still used today. It was released in 2011, and unlike the very first wallet software – Bitcoin Core – that was released in 2009, Electrum focuses on speed and simplicity with low resource usage. For instance, it does not need to download the whole blockchain (which currently weighs about 650 GB) to work properly.
Because of Electrum&rsquo;s popularity, many people have Electrum wallets.

They still own the computer or the laptop on which they made their purchase, but they can&rsquo;t even tell what wallet software they used back in the day to store their Bitcoins.

Electrum is a popular wallet software that is used by many people to receive, send and manage their Bitcoins. If you wish to receive Bitcoins to your wallet, you will need to give people an address so that they know where to send them.

Electrum is a popular wallet software that is used by many people to receive, send and manage their Bitcoins. However, it does not support any other coin. Thus, if you are looking to receive, send and manage your Bitcoin Cash with Electrum, that is not possible.
That being said, Electrum is an open-source software and various programmers have modified it so that it can support other coins. If you wish to use a wallet that works similarly to Electrum, but with Bitcoin Cash instead, you will need to download a software called Electron Cash.

Everything You Need to Know About Multibit2John

Multibit2John is a script that can be used on both Multibit Classic and Multibit HD wallets. As long as you have a .key, .wallet.aes or .wallet file for your wallet, you should be able to use it with the script. Once the latter is executed, it will generate a string that will look something like this:
test.key:$multibit$1*a6e21914459ebb39*7cf945f8e6e2bcd5d3890ceb4a68344d9cb298ec5f4ccab28d7feaf2dd542cca
Why would I use the Multibit2John script? The string generated by the script is meant to be used with password crackers that support it, like John the Ripper or hashcat.

Multibit Classic is a Bitcoin wallet that was popular during the 2010s, but that was abandoned in 2017. Nowadays, some people are trying to move their Bitcoins out of their wallet, but they can’t because their password is being rejected. Yet, they swear that it is correct and that their password must have been corrupted somehow.
I decided to investigate these claims and found out that Multibit Classic does, in some cases, corrupt the password meant to protect the wallet.

A few months ago, my friend was on the lookout for a real-time tracker that they could use to monitor valuables if they were ever robbed. As such, it needed to be small and lightweight so a thief could easily overlook it. Moreover, since the valuables are spread over a large geographical area, they wanted the tracker’s battery to last a long time so they wouldn’t have to recharge it repeatedly.

Multibit Classic was a popular wallet in the 2010s, but it was abandoned in 2017 and it is now recommended that you transfer your Bitcoins to a modern wallet like Electrum. If you are in such a situation, you will need to export your private keys in your old Multibit Classic wallet and import them in your new Electrum wallet. This can be done by following the two tutorials below:

How to Fix: 'sprintf' Writing a Terminating Nul Past the End of the Destination

In my C application, I wanted to convert a byte (stored as an unsigned char) into a hexadecimal string. To do so, I wrote the following code:
1char hex[2]; 2unsigned char byte = 10; 3sprintf(hex, &#34;%02X&#34;, byte); However, the code produced unreliable results. Moreover, the compiler threw the following warning:
&lsquo;sprintf&rsquo; writing a terminating nul past the end of the destination [-Wformat-overflow=]| I fixed both of these issues by changing the size of the char array hex from two to three bytes, like so:

I&rsquo;m currently learning C and C++. At the beginning, I wasn&rsquo;t sure if C++ was merely an extension to C or if they were, despite their shared history, two different languages. A recent issue with the malloc function gave me a deeper insight into this question.
As I was working on a C++ project, I wanted to use malloc in the following way:
1char *buffer = malloc(21); However, the compiler threw the following error:

However, I initially encountered an issue for which I wanted to write a blog post. You see, when I built a newly-created wxWidgets project in Code::Blocks, everything worked fine. When I opened the WxWizDialogs.fbp file in wxFormBuilder, I was greeted with the following message:

It is estimated that between 2.78 and 3.79 million BTC have been lost. This can happen when people forget the password they have set to protect their Bitcoin wallets. Indeed, many of these lost Bitcoins are stuck in wallets created by Multibit Classic – a software that was launched in 2011 and that was abandoned in 2017. Multibit Classic was very popular back then and many people used it to store Bitcoins that they had bought at ridiculously low prices (at least by today&rsquo;s standards).

The first one is easy to find, but the second one is harder since the software has been superseded by Alchitry Labs. After many hours of research, I finally found it and decided to share the links with you in case someone is in the same situation.

I&rsquo;m currently working on a Node.js application that runs within a Docker container. I wanted the container to auto-restart whenever it crashed and I found out that this task could be accomplished with tools like PM2 and forever.
I decided to give PM2 a try. Unfortunately, it kept restarting the container in an endless loop. Through my research, I discovered that pm2 was not meant to run within Docker and that pm2-runtime should be used instead.

I&rsquo;m currently in the process of breaking a monolith application into microservices that run in Docker containers. To keep things simple, the Docker containers are going to run on the same server as the monolith – at least, for the time being.
I wanted my containers to be able to communicate with each other as well as with the monolith, but to be otherwise inaccessible to the Internet. This proved to be more difficult than anticipated as Docker doesn&rsquo;t play nicely with iptables and firewalld.

On August 1, 2017, a hard fork happened on Bitcoin&rsquo;s blockchain, and as a result, Bitcoin Cash was born.
A hard fork occurs when the rules for a given cryptocurrency are changed, but a significant portion of its users don&rsquo;t agree with them. In other words, some users stick to the old rules while others agree to play by the new ones. When that happens, a new coin is created from the original cryptocurrency.

Like everyone, I have bad habits I wish to break. One of them is to quit using Facebook and YouTube as they rob me of my focus and distract me from my goals. More specifically, I check Facebook very often and I tend to watch or listen to videos on YouTube that are unrelated to my task at hand. To help me in my endeavor, I ran an experiment based on aversive conditioning, or the idea that you can break a bad habit by associating it to a punishment.

Let me get straight to the point: I&rsquo;ve suffered from hyperhidrosis ever since I was a teenager. In plain words, I would sweat so much that I would stink only after a few hours of being awakened – even if I had done no physical effort. Armpit odor shattered my self-esteem while the pit stains ruined my t-shirts at an alarming speed.
The worst thing is that people around me didn&rsquo;t seem to get how self-conscious I was about my underarm sweat.
